Shaping Scholars. Building Character. Serving Humanity
The Institute Darul Uloom Southern Peninsula (IDUSP) is a specialist Islamic boarding institute for young women, based in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. We combine rigorous Islamic scholarship with a structured tarbiyyah system, Cambridge English certification, and a strong emphasis on personal discipline, service, and leadership.
Founded in 2017, IDUSP was established to address two pressing needs:
- To preserve and transmit authentic Islamic knowledge – equipping women with Qur’an, Hadith, and the classical sciences so they may inherit the legacy of scholarship and guide future generations.
- To nurture character through Tarbiyat – instilling discipline, humility, and service so that knowledge is not only studied but lived, forming women scholars who embody wisdom and integrity.
Over the years, IDUSP has grown from a small local madrasah into an international community. Students have joined us from Malaysia, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Mongolia and the United States of America. Our alumni go on to teach, lead, and serve in Islamic institutions worldwide.
Vision
- To begin with 313 women scholars who will each be a beacon of knowledge and faith in their homes, radiating light and guidance to their communities and beyond.
- To establish a dedicated school as a foundation for producing scholars, a nurturing ground where knowledge flourishes, and a place for scholars to return to recharge and deepen their connection to faith.
Mission
- Illuminate Hearts with Knowledge – Provide authentic Islamic knowledge that fosters a deep love for Allah, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, and Islam, empowering students to share this light in their homes and communities.
- Cultivate Upright Scholars – Nurture scholars shaped by purpose and integrity, who serve as upright guides spreading Islam with sincerity and wisdom.
- Defend and Uphold the Faith – Prepare resilient scholars to defend Islam with clarity, preserving and conveying the truth in the face of challenges.
Certification & Recognition
IDUSP awards its own Sanad al-‘Alimiyyah (‘Alimah qualification) upon successful completion of the six-year programme, alongside Cambridge English certification for those enrolled in the English programme.
